I start every morning with a grande mild with hot milk. They do not charge extra for the teamed milk so it is kind of like a poor man's strong latte. Fortified with my morning coffee, I walk back to Taylors passing many university colleges. Subang (by the way, the g is silent, and Jaya means town) seems to be the home of many international and private universities and schools. It would fun to take a tour one day to see what they have to offer.
Another oddity is the phrase 'to go'. It does not exist here. Instead we have 'take away' which is pronounced very quickly with one syllable. Once you catch on all is good.
Sunway University seems kind of interesting. There is a teacher from Sacred Heart High School going there in January so we might get some feedback. Sunway is a huge conglomeration of services. In one area we have the Sunway Pyramid Shopping Centre, The Sunway Hotel and Convention Centre, the Sunway Hospital, the Sunway University, and last but not least, the Sunway Amusement Park which is huge (like Universal Studios). Everything is brand spanking new. There is a rumour that Sunway University puts there teachers up in the Sunway Hotel for a full 2 months on their arrival. May have to check it out :-)
Hey, Katie Brown if you are reading this, you would really like it here.
The cold spell continues, with a temperature of 85 and no humidity. Brrrr!
TTYL,
Jim
