Monday - Hot and Muggy

Hi Folks, it's a hot and muggy Monday morning. It's a good day to be in an air conditioned lab teaching Computer Science. Probably also a good day to hit the pool at 4:30 when we get back to the condo. It looks like a quiet and uneventful Monday night and therefore a good night to try out our new DVD player and some of Shelley's newly acquired DVD's.

Student's seem to be settling in at taylor's. I read my discussion forum in BlackBoard entitled "How did the first few weeks go? The students seemed to be coping fairly well but a number expressed that they were having difficulty with the language and the number of assignments. I decided I could slow down a little bit so I will this week.

This is a short week for Shelley and I as we head off for an all expenses paid 3 day retreat at an island resort. However, we do have to make up Frida's class hours. Let's see, 4 hours of class vs 3 days on the island. Sounds like a good deal for me.
