Jordan Arrived Safe and Sound

We finally managed to track Jordan down in the Singapore airport. It turned out he was waiting inside the clearance area and of course, coming from another terminal, we were outside the clearance area. We finally had him paged and out he popped. He had an interesting time in Shanghai as he attempted to clear the security area with a switchblade in his carry on. The Chinese security were not impressed. Jordan and I had bought these mini-switch blades when we were in Sedona, Arizona, 3 years ago. He had managed to clear Canadian security checks so it does not say much for Vancouver airport.

Jordan also had trouble in Singapore customs as he had no idea where he was staying or for how long. The line, just let me out to check with my parents did not help much. Eventually they let him go. Good thing they did not check with Chinese security in Shanghai :-)

We are now in our hotel rooms in the Fairmont Singapore and this hotel is highly recommended. I managed to get a great deal on their Christmas promotion. We are resting up before heading out for a night of the famous Singapore shopping on Orchard Street. Apparently they have the largest bookstore in South East Asia. Jaime and I will be hunting for it.

The internet here is very fast so I will upload some photos as soon as I resize them.

TTYL,

Jim
